Background

To redefine its position as a premium digital bank, Xapo Bank shifted its acquisition strategy in 2025, moving away from 30-day trials toward a $1,000 annual commitment.

Challenge

The challenge was to bridge this gap through a high-performance activation strategy and a premium visual identity.

To justify a premium price point, the visual language had to pivot from "Standard Digital Bank" to "Institutional Wealth Management." This meant overhauling every touchpoint to evoke security, exclusivity, and Swiss-grade reliability.

The 30-Day Design System Migration

To meet the aggressive public rebrand announcement, I overhauled the Design System architecture in record time. This required a lean, high-communication strategy to align design output with engineering capacity.

Fine-tuning the app

In a high-stakes banking environment, system status isn't just feedback, it’s trust.
I engineered micro-interactions that provided immediate, transparent feedback, ensuring every transaction felt as secure and premium as the membership price suggests.

Results

By treating the Design System as a strategic product, we didn't just deliver a 'new look', we built the trust-infrastructure necessary to successfully pivot Xapo Bank into its new $1,000-membership premium era.
